Bio:
Brian Clarke has been employed at Stonebrook for 13 years and has worked his way up from Assistant Pro to Director of Tennis where he has been for the past 7 years. He has a PTR Certification Level Professional for the past 16 years and is also Cardio Tennis Certified. While employed at Stonebrook he has been in charge of the Men’s and Women’s USTA teams and has helped many of those teams qualify for sectional and regional matches. The USTA took note of his leadership and asked him to help coach the Competition Training Center (CTC) from 2010-2016 and was chosen to be a captain for the CTC Rally of Virginia in Williamsburg from 2013-2016. Also, in 2013 he was the assistant coach for Shenandoah University Men’s and Women’s teams. Brian had an outstanding career at Division II Shepherd University where he was voted Male Athlete of the Year in 2005 and finished his career 2nd all time in wins .

Bio:
Ellen started at Stonebrook in 2021, shortly after retiring from Fairfax County Public Schools as a Physical Education Teacher. Ellen works with USTA Team training, Academy level students, age and skilled level colored ball clinics and private/group lessons.
Coach Ellen’s Credentials:
- World Ranked WTA player; 1987—1992
- Chautauqua County/Western New York Hall of Fame nominee.
- College: University Scholarship player for George Mason University; 1979-1983. Won All South-Eastern States and Regional Singles title competitions and first woman to represent GMU at a National Championship.
- High School: Dunkirk Senior High, Dunkirk, New York. Lettered in both boy’s and girl’s tennis teams, lettered in girls’ volleyball, girls’ basketball.

Name: Khan Mazhar
Title: Tennis Pro
Khan
is a competitive tennis player from Chantilly VA; driven by passion and the pursuit of excellence this former high school state champion has turned his passion for the game into an employment opportunity to strengthen the sport and the quality of tennis offered to our community.
Khan recently spent 3 months training in Spain on European clay and used this opportunity to further develop his game both technically and tactically while also sharpen skills and fitness.
Prior to coming to Stonebrook, Khan assisted the tennis pros at the Fairfax Racquet club instructing during their Youth Summer and Winter Camps,
Khan is constantly competing in USTA and UTR tournaments, aiming for a UTR 9 and ITF qualifiers.
Recent wins include Mixed Doubles at the 2026 Apple Blossom tournament and the 4.0 USTA Men’s Singles in Waldorf, MD
Khan states he is “addicted to competition, the grind and reaching his highest potential as a player.”
