Tennis Programs Offered
Stonebrook Club offers a wide range of excellent tennis programs all year round including:
Quickstart tennis will introduce young players to tennis by developing balance, coordination and basic stroke technique with FUN tennis-related games and contests. Differentiation between forehands, backhands and serves will also be covered. All activities are performed on a special 36′ court with Red QuickStart balls to enhance development.
QuickStart is a format used to help children learn and play the game of tennis. Court, net, racquet and balls sizes are scaled to the size and ability level of young children. Players will enhance balance and coordination skills while learning proper stroke technique and basic rules in a FUN environment.
Players wanting to improve their skills with the goal of reaching tournament level play. Clinic will cover technique which will be incorporated in drills and games. Specific match tactics and movement patterns will be introduced and reinforced during a mix of basket drills and live ball drills.
Players who are preparing to play or are playing high school tennis. Drills are used to strengthen court coverage, strike the ball consistently at higher speeds and develop an all court game. Concentration techniques, proper preparation and setting match goals are covered. Must have joined this group previously or have Tennis Pro’s approval to register for this clinic.
Cardio Tennis is a great way for players to enjoy the game. Come get your sweat on. In about an hour, you can get an AMAZING workout, socialize, and enjoy tennis – all at once.
